  • Gov. Cuomo announces $20 million for Gore Mtn and Whiteface Mtn upgrades
    1/23/2017 | Governor Cuomo announced $20 million in new funding for upgrades to both Gore and Whiteface Mountains. At Gore, improvements include:
    • Expanding seating capacity and modernizing the Saddle Lodge’s facilities and infrastructure.
    • Adding a third story to the Base Lodge – building corporate meeting room space, additional seating and customer amenities, and expanding the rental shop in the Northwoods Lodge.
    • Restoring the original 1967 gondola unloading station into a Gore summit warming facility and overlook.
    Congratulations to the Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) for their continued top notch management of these unique recreational assets and for their tireless advocacy on behalf of Gore. These improvements are expected to enhance and expand economic impact and leverage additional private investment.

Gov Hochul was Warren County Board of Supervisors Chair Ron Conover of Bolton, NY. Also speaking was Glens Falls Mayor Jack Diamond.
  • Lake George Area "Original Vacation" Spots Produced by Warren County Tourism Office
    12/20/2016 | The Warren County Tourism Office produced and released a new Winter 2016-17 version of their "Original Vacation" commercial spots that are being run in major northeast markets. The launch of the campaign began during the summer season which is the Lake George Area's busiest time of year and is looking to promote its four season tourism economy.
