    EDC Warren County to Highlight Local CEO’s Perspective at June 27 Annual Luncheon 


    EDC Warren County has invited a local CEO with extensive experience in the region’s medical device sector to deliver the keynote address at its eighteenth annual luncheon on Tuesday, June 27, at Six Flags Great Escape Lodge in Queensbury. The featured speaker for the event will be James Clemmer, President and CEO of AngioDynamics.

    “Every year at our annual luncheon we explore key drivers in our region’s economy,” stated Ed Bartholomew, President of EDC Warren County. “This year we will present one CEO’s perspective on growth, challenges and opportunities in a changing world. We are honored that James Clemmer of AngioDynamics will join us for this regional event.”


    In addition to the keynote address, the program will also include an update on EDC initiatives and recognition of other activities in Warren County and our region. 
     

    About James Clemmer, President & CEO, AngioDynamics

    President and Chief Executive Officer James Clemmer joined AngioDynamics in April 2016, bringing more than 25 years of leadership within the healthcare industry and a proven track record of success.

    Prior to AngioDynamics, Clemmer served as president of the $1.8 billion medical supplies segment at Covidien plc., where he directed strategic and day-to-day operations for global business divisions that collectively manufactured 23 different product categories. In addition, he managed global manufacturing, research and development, operational excellence, business development and all other functions associated with the medical supplies business.
    Prior to his role at Covidien, Clemmer served as group president at Kendall Healthcare, where he managed the US business across five divisions and built the strategic plan for the Medical Supplies segment before it was spun off from Tyco. Clemmer began his career at Sage Products, Inc.

    Clemmer currently serves on the Board of Directors for AngioDynamics and Lantheus Medical Imaging. Clemmer is a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.

    Annual Luncheon Details

    In addition to the keynote presentation, EDC officials will share highlights from 2016 and discuss 2017 initiatives. Roughly 250 local business and non-profit executives, county and municipal administrators, school leaders, elected officials, and private citizens will attend this event, which is open to the public.

    The luncheon will be held in the ballroom of the Great Escape Lodge, 89 Six Flags Drive in Queensbury. Registration and networking begin at 11:30 a.m. The luncheon and program begin at 12:00 p.m. and last until 1:30 p.m.

    Tickets are available online at www.edcwc.org and by calling the EDC office at 761-6007.  Ticket prices for EDC members and event sponsors are $55 each or $500 for 10 tickets; for the general public, tickets are $75 each or $650 for 10 tickets.
