<< Return to news list Over 85 regional executives and officials at SUNY Adirondack on Wednesday, August 19th to gather feedback and detail procedures and timeline for New York’s Upstate Revitalization Initiative (URI) program’s $500 million regional economic development funding completion.  Introductory remarks were provided by EDC President Ed Bartholomew and ARCC President/CEO Peter Aust.  Giving presentations and moderating the discussion were Bill Hart of Irving Tissue and Andrew Meader of The Great Escape, both members of the CREDC from the Warren and Washington county area.  Included in the presentations was a series of data charts and graphs of economic and demographic indicators assembled by the CREDC’s consultants that are designed to guide and frame the basis for potential concepts and ideas being put forth by advocates, officials and business leaders.  The CREDC moderators asked participants several opening questions designed to stimulate feedback.  Ideas and proposals are being solicited both in person and via the web to encourage anyone to submit to the advisory committee.  Finalization of the Capital Region plan and submission will be due in early October, 2015
