DESCRIPTION:Please find the news release from City officials regarding the DRI Information Sessions. \n— \nPublic Information Session on Glens Falls DRI Updates Set For Monday\, June 13\nMayor Collins\, Bonacio officials to discuss progress in community meeting \nGLENS FALLS – Mayor Bill Collins has announced that the first public information sessions regarding updates on the $10 Million Downtown Revitalization Program (DRI) will be on Monday\, June 13. \nThe sessions will feature a presentation about the city’s new Market Center\, soon-to-be home of the Farmer’s Market as well as the center for other lifestyle events\, and information about the current buildings to be renovated: the former Sandy’s at 41 South Street\, the former Hot Shots Bar at 45 South\, and the former incubator at 36 Elm Street. \nSpringCity Development of Saratoga Springs will attend to discuss that construction and the two new buildings being planned that will truly revitalize Downtown Glens Falls. \nThe public information session will be held on Monday\, June 13\, at two separate times and places: At Crandall Library in the Christine McDonald Community Room from noon to 2 PM\, and at the Park Street Theater from 6 PM to 8 PM.

The program is sponsored by SUNY Adirondack\, Glens Falls Hospital\, Economic Development Corp. of Warren County\, Behan Communications Inc.\, The Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce\, and Advokate. The program will be presented by Nicole (Nicky) Hylton-Patterson\, director of the Adirondack Diversity Initiative. It will conclude by 8 p.m. Registration is required. Facial coverings must be worn. \nPresentation Overview: \nThis presentation will cover critical considerations for organizations and communities focused on developing and executing a shared vision for greater diversity\, equity\, inclusion\, and belonging. \nTarget Audience: \nThe presentation is for anyone who seeks a better understanding of the value of and need for greater diversity\, equity\, inclusion\, and belonging – especially people who lead for-profit\, non-profit and public organizations. Those involved in hiring and recruitment\, marketing\, business development\, customer recruitment and retention and those involved higher education\, hospitality\, health care\, community relations\, and municipal government will find presentation especially relevant. \nThe Presenter: \nNicole “Nicky” Hylton-Patterson became Director of the Adirondack Diversity Initiative in December 2019.
