A new developer is fueling the fire in the already-hot Glens Falls real estate market.

Tom Elliot, a lifelong resident of Sarasota, Florida, who has summered in Bolton Landing for many years, recently told the Glens Falls Chronicle, “We love what’s happening in Glens Falls. It’s a great spot between Lake George and Saratoga, with more and more happening right here.”

The Chronicle reports that Elliot and his girlfriend, Susy Westfall, purchased 12 Warren St. and are about to close on 170 Glen St., where they have big renovation plans. They will refurbish the facade, rent out retail space on the first floor, and create apartments on the second and third floors.

Expressing admiration for Glens Falls developer Peter Hoffman,  Elliot told the Chronicle, “I love these old buildings. I consider it a matter of stewardship, preserving the history of a building built in the 1800s.”
