Elizabeth Miller, the Glens Falls businesswoman who turned a rundown section of Park Street into the Park Theater and Doc’s Restaurant, is now turning her attention to the other side of the street, with a plan for apartments, a restaurant, deli and perhaps a grocery, reported the Foothills Business Daily recently. Glens Falls Mayor Dan Hall says he project shows local developers’ continuing confidence in investing in Downtown Glens Falls.
Elizabeth reports that while it has been a bumpy year on most fronts with Miller Mechanical and Doty Machine Works clicking along albeit slower than usual as is to be expected in a pandemic, Doc’s is ramping up with dinner and live music or movies in the theater area. She reports that Sunset Farm, on Ridge Road in Queensbury, had its best year ever!
We asked:
Why invest in Glens Falls?
“Potential, potential, potential,” she replied. “I invest in Glens Falls because it’s a great community with amazing people and a wonderful potential for economic growth and development in various areas, from education to sports to the arts and beyond.”
She adds, “Glens Falls has an intimate community feel. I think we have the potential to develop again into our roots of Hometown USA.”
