Mark Behan, founder and president of Behan Communications, was honored Oct. 29 at The Sagamore in Bolton Landing with the 32nd annual J. Walter Juckett Award for Excellence in Community Service. 

The J. Walter Juckett Community Service Award is the four-county region’s prestigious community service award that recognizes and honors an extraordinary individual who selflessly contributes time and energy to help others.

“Mark Behan exemplifies all that J. Walter Juckett stood for: community, charity, and leadership,” Michael Bittel, president and CEO of Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce, told Glens Falls Business Journal. “Mark has long been in the service of so many others in our region through his work on many boards, as well as his volunteer commitment in so many other venues.”
