Skiers don’t have to travel far to experience some of the best skiing in the East. Gore Mountain in North Creek, New York, is only 25 minutes from I-87, and offers 42 miles of skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

The mountain’s terrain covers four peaks, with 14 lifts and 110 trails. A destination for all skiing and snowboarding abilities, Gore offers expert-level steep terrain, areas for beginners and everything in between, as well as eight terrain parks with freestyle areas for everyone.

Gore has been a skiing destination in Warren County for eight decades. With an eight-passenger gondola and twilight skiing capabilities, Gore offers a  unique experience. Skiers can grab breakfast and lunch at the Base Lodge food court, have a picnic outside with food from Open Pit Grille, or enjoy a full-service dinner at Tannery Pond Pub and Restaurant.

In 2023, Gore Mountain will host the Winter World University Games, an 11-day international competition. The event is the largest winter multi-sport collegiate athletic competition in the United States, with some of the nation’s most talented winter athletes.

The fun at Gore doesn’t stop with spring melt. The mountain also boasts year-round activities: scenic gondola skyrides, hiking, disc golf and mountain-biking trails. Visitors don’t want to miss eating at Open Pit Grille or one of the many great restaurants in the North Creek area.
