On Wednesday, Jan. 15, from 7 to 9 p.m., you’re invited to attend “Small Business, New Ideas,” an event to encourage sparking ideas and fostering connections among local entrepreneurs, and to celebrate the graduation of students in the Fall 2024 StartUp ADK course! The event will be held at SUNY Adirondack’s Queensbury campus at the Northwest Bay Conference Center in Adirondack Hall. “Small Business, New Ideas” builds on EDC Warren County’s commitment to supporting new and emerging voices in the community. Featuring keynote speaker Drew Fitzgerald — co-founder of Just Water, 501cTHREE.org and The Water Genome — the event promises to inspire with Drew’s innovative approach to addressing global challenges. Highlights also include recognizing the impact of the Startup ADK program, connecting attendees with business resources and celebrating the entrepreneurial spirit of Warren County. This event is open to seasoned entrepreneurs, aspiring business owners and anyone eager to contribute to a thriving local economy.
About StartUp ADK: StartUp ADK is a noncredit program for those starting or expanding small businesses. The course is sponsored by Warren County Local Development Corporation, Washington County Local Development Corporation and SUNY Adirondack Continuing Education. During the program, leading area professionals present on topics including insurance, budgeting, human resources, market research, finance, business planning, legal issues, marketing and more.
