EDC Warren County was pleased to participate in last week’s Economic Outlook 2026 event in Johnsburg, NY.
It was an energizing evening that highlighted just how much positive movement is underway in North Creek and across the Town of Johnsburg.
From major public-sector investments to private-sector commitments from hospitality, recreation, and local merchants, the message was clear. This community is building real economic momentum.
EDC President & CEO Jim Siplon shared a forward-looking perspective on the North Country’s evolving economy. He emphasized how Johnsburg is becoming a model for rural communities. Investments in new infrastructure, ORDA’s Ski Bowl Lodge, and strong private development have positioned the community at the center of what comes next.
The program also featured updates from:
• Chuck Barton (WWIDA)
• Keir Weimer (Weekender Hotels)
• David Cronheim (The Cronheim Companies)
• Jim Bayse (Gore Mountain / ORDA)
• Kim LaScala (Revolution Rail)
• Local merchants Deb Morris, Jake Gaechter, and Laurie Arnheiter
Together, these voices showcased a shared vision rooted in collaboration, community pride, and momentum that is accelerating across the region.
EDC is proud to support this work and excited for what’s ahead.
