Lake George Mayor Bob Blais announced today that the Village of Lake George will kick off their 2021 season with their 4th of July show on Sunday, July 4 at 9:30 p.m.
Weekly 15-minute fireworks displays are set to take place at 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 8, 15, 22, 29, and August 5, 12, 19, 26, and Sept. 2.
A special show is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 18, says Mayor Blais.
We suggest arriving early, bringing takeout or a picnic, and a blanket or chair to claim your spot. The fireworks are set off from a barge on the lake, and are visible anywhere along the shoreline of Lake George. The best viewing is in Lake George Village along the water, between Million Dollar Beach and Shepard Park Beach, on the Lake George Lakefront Walkway.
Try watching the show from your own boat on the lake, or take a fireworks dinner cruise with the Lake George Steamboat Company or Lake George Shoreline Cruises! Many restaurants in Lake George provide a great place to view the fireworks while you dine, and lodging options on Canada Street offer excellent private views.
The fireworks are weather-dependent, so dates are subject to change. You can check to make sure the fireworks display is a go if the weather is questionable by calling Lake George Village at 518-668-5771.
