EDC Warren County’s Statement On Essity

EDC Warren County was disappointed to learn of Essity’s recent changes and we’re committed to helping all those in our county affected by these layoffs.  We have spoken with our partners, including the Saratoga-Warren-Washington Workforce Development Board and their extended network, our economic development colleagues in Saratoga and Washington Counties, our partners at New York’s Empire State Development (ESD), Senator Stec and Assemblywoman Woerner.  An announcement like this affects us all.  EDC Warren County will support a robust regional response however we can as well as join the many parties needed to develop our regional strategy to address the long term investments needed to build a sustainable economy for all.
