2021 Was a Banner Summer for Lake George!

The Village of Lake George, New York, comes alive in the summertime. The beaches, restaurants, and shops are filled with locals and tourists alike. News10 reports that the post-COVID seasonal business thrived better than expected. Village Mayor Bob Blais called this summer one of the biggest the village has ever had. 

Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce President Gina Mintzer told News10 that the hotel numbers alone showed that this summer was one to beat. Lake George hotels averaged an occupancy level of 83% in August, which is a A cruise boat sits at the dock with the blue lake water around it. On the right is a pretty tree and a green sign that says Village of Lake Georgestrong number for that point in the year. In comparison, Cape Cod’s hotels came in just below, at 80%. 

Gina’s calculations put 75,000 people visiting and checking into hotels in Lake George in one week. These visitors will be spending money all over the region in shops, restaurants, and recreational hot spots.
