EDC forges relationships and works collaboratively with many local—and national—economic development agencies and related organizations. EDC is also highly reliant on the invaluable input given by our local municipalities.

Adirondack Association of Towns & Villages (AATV)

The Adirondack Association of Towns and Villages (AATV) is a membership organization representing the 101 towns and villages within the Adirondack Park. They are a non-partisan alliance of local elected officials who address issues of concern to local communities and local governments, full-time and seasonal residents, businesses, and visitors. AATV was formed by local elected officials to provide a unified, informed and responsible voice to encourage meaningful dialogue and achieve constructive solutions that benefit all stakeholders.

Adirondack Glens Falls Transportation Council (AGFTC)
The Council develops and prioritizes transportation policies, programs and projects for the area’s highway, bridge and public transportation facilities in accordance with its adopted Planning Principles, and strive to ensure that the general public is involved in the transportation decision-making process.

Adirondack North Country Association (ANCA)

The Adirondack Association of Towns and Villages (AATV) is a membership organization representing the 101 towns and villages within the Adirondack Park. They are a non-partisan alliance of local elected officials who address issues of concern to local communities and local governments, full-time and seasonal residents, businesses, and visitors. AATV was formed by local elected officials to provide a unified, informed and responsible voice to encourage meaningful dialogue and achieve constructive solutions that benefit all stakeholders.

ADK Action

AdkAction creates projects that address unmet needs, promote vibrant communities, and preserve the natural beauty of the Adirondacks for all.  AdkAction and its projects strive to improve the social, economic, and cultural lives of local residents and enhance the long term natural resources and character of the Park.

Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce
Serving diverse industries within Warren, Washington and Northern Saratoga Counties, including greater Glens Falls and the Lake George region, the ARCC provides opportunity for companies to showcase their ideas and services, offering tools, education and exposure necessary for businesses to develop and succeed.

Business Council of NYS
The Business Council works to create economic growth, good jobs, and strong communities across New York State.

Capital Region Economic Development Council (CREDC)
In 2011, New York Governor Cuomo created 10 Regional Councils to develop long-term strategic plans for economic growth for their regions. A key component of this transformative approach to economic development, these councils are public-private partnerships made up of local experts and stakeholders from business, academia, local government, and non-governmental organizations.

The CREDC oversees economic development planning for the Capital Region, a region based on innovation and invention at the center of New York State’s “Tech Valley.” At the region’s core is strategic investment in these emerging industry clusters: bio life sciences, nanotechnology, chemical manufacturing, semiconductor development and clean energy production.

Center for Economic Growth (CEG)
CEG is focused on New York’s Capital Region, facilitating efforts to attract high-tech talent and companies, and to provide innovative services to bolster local businesses.

City of Glens Falls Industrial Development Agency (IDA)
The Glens Falls IDA assists companies with tax exempt financing for capital projects.

Counties of Warren/Washington Industrial Development Agency (WWIDA)
This entity is authorized to issue both tax exempt and taxable industrial development bonds for projects involving manufacturing, commercial and civic facilities.

Gore Mountain Region Chamber of Commerce
Chamber of commerce serving the Gore Mountain area, with a partnership agreement with the North Country Chamber.

Greater Glens Falls Local Development Corporation (GGFLDC)
The GGFLDC serves as the city’s LDC (local development corporation). It operates two loan programs to assist business:  The Micro Loan Program and the Economic Development Revolving Loan Program.

Lake Champlain-Lake George Regional Planning Board (LCLGRPB)
The Lake Champlain-Lake George Regional Planning Board  is one of ten regional planning and development organizations in New York State, and covers the five counties of Clinton, Essex, Hamilton, Warren, and Washington. The organization’s mission is to promote sustainable economic development that strengthens communities, provides quality jobs and preserves the unique natural, historical and cultural characteristics of the region.

Lake George Association (LGA)
LGA is a not-for-profit, privately funded organization dedicated to the protection of Lake George. LGA applies a science-guided approach to protection focused on Lake George water quality and the overall health of the Lake George watershed.

Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce (LGRCC)
The LGRCC supports the greater Lake George community by promoting the area, serving local businesses with various benefits, hosting special events, providing excellent visitor services, and serving as a resource for residents.

MED Tech

Med Tech is an active association of over 100 pharmaceutical, biotech and medical technology companies, their suppliers and service providers and research universities. MedTech facilitates learning and collaboration by helping members to connect with experts, leaders, and peers to share knowledge, best practices and emerging opportunities as well as delivering news and education that members need to stay information and advocate for active support from elected and appointed leaders  promoting members and New York State’s Bio/Med industry throughout New York, the United States and the world.

North Creek Business Alliance
Serving the business community in North Creek (Gore Mountain area).

NYS Economic Development Council (NYSEDC)
As the state’s principal organization representing economic development professionals, NYSEDC promotes the economic development of the state and its communities, encourages sound practices in the conduct of regional and statewide development programs, and develops educational programs to enhance the professional skills of its members.  NYSEDC coordinates the NY Loves Bio initiative, and manages the NY Loves Bio Asset Database, which provides a sophisticated search tool that enables users to customize a query about New York’s rich bio sector.

NYS Empire State Development (NYSESD)
NY Loves Business and NYSESD is the economic development entity for the state, investing hundreds of millions of dollars in private and public economic development projects statewide to help revitalize neighborhoods, create and retain jobs, and bring hundreds of thousands of visitors to the state.

NYS Office of the Comptroller
The Division of Local Government Services and Economic Development executes the comptroller’s mission to improve the condition of local government and the communities they serve.

Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA)
ORDA was created by the State of New York to manage the facilities used during the 1980 Olympic Winter Games at Lake Placid. Today, ORDA operates Whiteface Mountain and Gore Mountain ski areas; the Olympic Sports Complex; and the Olympic ice and jumping complexes. As host to international and national championships, the Authority has brought millions of athletes, spectators, and visitors from around the globe to the Adirondack region.

Rich Air  (Warren County airport)
Rich Air is the full-service fixed base operator (FBO) at the Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport in Warren County, New York.

Saratoga Economic Development Corporation (SEDC)
The Saratoga Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) is a private sector, non-profit, consulting firm, established in 1978, that works to retain existing businesses while creating new jobs in Saratoga County, New York. SEDC is 100% privately financed and its mission is to create jobs and diversify the tax base while improving the quality of life for the residents of Saratoga County.

Saratoga-Warren-Washington Workforce Development Board (WDB)
The WDB is a private sector led board jointly appointed by Saratoga, Warren and Washington Counties. The board was originally established as the Workforce Investment Board (WIB) in July 2000 as a result of federal job training legislation know as the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) and was recently revised under amending legislation known as WIOA. The board consists of private sector business representatives, local economic development, chambers of commerce, education, vocational, and local/regional labor officials. The role of the WDB is to identify workforce development needs of businesses; develop resources to address those needs; implement or facilitate training designed to develop a more skilled workforce. The WDB in conjunction with NYS Dept of Labor works with county One Stop Centers serving job seekers looking for employment as well as businesses and employers seeking recruitment and training programs.

Southern Adirondack REALTORS, Inc.
Southern Adirondack REALTORS, Inc. is a regional not-for-profit trade association that services the real estate industry in the Southern Adirondack region along with the Northern half of Washington County.  The REALTOR members also are located in Saratoga, Essex, Warren and Washington Counties. The member-based organization maintains listing data, keeps statistical information, provides professional educational training, and establishes ethical standards for the local industry.

Warren County Local Development Corporation (LDC)

The purpose of this county-sponsored local development corporation is to further projects and programs that enhance the economic well-being of Warren County and its communities. In addition to serving as a fiduciary account for County Planning Department projects and repository for housing program funding awards, disbursements and repayments, the LDC administers the county’s small business lending program.
