Today, Warren County EDC is proud to join local officials, business leaders at the Hyde Collection in celebrating an extraordinary milestone for Jointa Lime Company. 175 years of business in Warren County.
Since 1851, Jointa has helped build roads, bridges, airports and the infrastructure that keeps New York moving. Just as importantly, the company has helped build communities by creating generations of careers, supporting local families and investing in the places its employees call home.
For a county of just over 67,000 residents, having companies that have thrived for more than a century is truly exceptional. Jointa is part of a remarkable group of Warren County businesses whose longevity reflects resilience, innovation and a steadfast commitment to quality.
Their story also reminds us of something important.
Every legacy company was once a startup.
At one point, Jointa was simply an idea backed by hardworking people with a vision for the future. Today, 175 years later, that vision continues to shape communities across New York.
As we celebrate Jointa’s remarkable history as one of the oldest companies in New York, we’re also reminded why supporting today’s entrepreneurs, manufacturers and growing businesses matters. Somewhere in Warren County, someone is working on an idea that could become our next 100-year company.
