For 100 years, The Queensbury Hotel has been far more than a hotel. It has been a gathering place, an economic anchor, a community institution, and one of the defining symbols of downtown Glens Falls.
Since opening in 1926, generations of visitors, residents, dignitaries, performers, politicians, athletes, and business leaders have passed through its doors. From presidents and public figures to entertainers and visitors experiencing our region for the first time, The Q has not simply hosted history, it has created it.
Under Ed Moore’s local ownership, The Q has continued that legacy through many millions of dollars invested in restoration, expansion, modernization, and adjacent property acquisition over the past decade. These investments have reinforced what many already knew. Strong downtowns need strong anchors, and few have played that role more consistently than The Q.
Tourism, hospitality, conferences, weddings, business travel, and community events continue to make The Q an important economic driver not only for downtown Glens Falls, but for Warren County and the greater Adirondack region.
Last night, EDC Warren County was proud to join community leaders, employees, partners, supporters, and guests in celebrating both a century of hometown hospitality and a decade of local ownership and investment. The tremendous turnout was a reminder of just how deeply connected The Q is to the identity and success of our region.
We also want to recognize Ed Moore, along with Tyler Herrick and Zack Moore, whose leadership, vision, and continued commitment have helped ensure this iconic institution remains strong for future generations.
As longtime members and supporters of EDC Warren County, we are especially grateful for The Q’s continued partnership, commitment to downtown revitalization, and belief in the future of our region.
Congratulations on 100 years of hospitality, investment, and community leadership.
Here’s to the next century!
