Construction is actively reshaping downtown Glens Falls and the momentum is real.
What started with a $10 million NYS Downtown Revitalization Initiative award has now leveraged nearly $50 million in total public and private investment, delivering new housing, modern commercial space, and vibrant public venues.
At EDC Warren County, this work started early.
In 2015, EDC helped lead the effort to prepare and submit Glens Falls’ original DRI application, working alongside the City of Glens Falls, regional partners, and private stakeholders to position downtown for long-term reinvestment.
Today, that vision is becoming visible on the ground.
Current highlights include:
• The Ed on South Street bringing a modern market and event space online
• A new 70-unit mixed-use housing development now underway
• Multiple commercial and residential redevelopment projects across South Street and Elm Street
This isn’t just about buildings. It’s about talent attraction, business growth, housing supply, and creating the kind of downtown that helps companies recruit and retain people.
Proud of the partnership with the City of Glens Falls, New York State, local developers, and the community that made this possible.
