Celebrity cook and TV personality Rachael Ray calls the Adirondacks home, and lives there with her husband John when they’re not in New York City. In a blog post on rachaelrayshow.com on January 3, she shared her favorite places to eat in the region.

She calls out the Harvest Restaurant, the Ridge Terrace, the Algonquin and Oscar’s Adirondack Smokehouse, all located in Warren County, New York. She also names some of her favorite things to do, like visit Prospect Mountain and explore Lake George.

“We love upstate, and it’s a 6 million acre park,” she says in the interview. “The whole region – I grew up there, so I’m biased – but oh, wow, is it fabulous.”

Recently, Rachel’s Spice Company, located in Glens Falls, New York, posted that their products were spotted in Rachael Ray’s kitchen. In the segment, Rachael uses the Rachel’s Spice Co. loaded salt and pepper on potatoes, names the business, and says it was a gift.
