We were proud to welcome a full house at the Fort William Henry Carriage House in Lake George on October 27, featuring inspiring presentations from Greg Tehven, CEO and Co-Founder of Emerging Prairie, and EDC President Jim Siplon, who shared dynamic insights on our region’s momentum and future opportunities.
A highlight of the event was Jim Siplon’s announcement of a new partnership between EDC Warren County, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), IBM, and the Lake George Association to advance plans for a national freshwater research and innovation center at Lake George.
This initiative builds on the legacy of The Jefferson Project and aims to create a hub that combines scientific research, public education, and entrepreneurial development — turning Lake George’s most precious natural asset into an engine for sustainable economic growth.
